Things you might not know about Blanche:

• Back when she was Blanche Lambert, me and my sister waved signs for her in some truly unpleasant Little Rock weather
• Her sister, Mary, is a noted music video director, including two Madonna classics: “Like A Virgin” and “Like A Prayer”
• At heart, I do think she wants to do something right, but she has horrible re-election prospects, and of course she is the child of the last of the rich family farms of Arkansas, and as such:

I spent last night playing my least favorite familial role (The Poor Relation) at a very fancy fundraiser for a worthy cause. A cause so worthy that I won’t sully its name by attaching it to this very snitty little blog entry. Anyway, all I’m trying to say is that I had really bad indigestion, in shabby clothing, near a controversial White House appointee. Story of my life.
